STEP 1
Slice or pound chicken breasts so they are thinner and cook more evenly, next, season each side of the chicken with salt and pepperSTEP 2
Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skilletSTEP 3
Once hot, add chicken and cook 5 minutes on each side, or until almost cooked through (chicken will cook later) , transfer the chicken to a plate and set asideSTEP 4
Add the butter to the same skillet, Once melted, add the garlic and sautΓ© for 30 seconds or until fragrantSTEP 5
Add the flour and mix until a dough formsSTEP 6
Whisk together chicken broth, heavy cream and Parmesan, continue whisking until well blended, then stir in the sun-dried tomatoes and Italian seasoningSTEP 7
Taste the sauce and add salt and pepper if needed
STEP 8
Simmer the sauce until thickened, about 3-4 minutes, then, return the chicken to the skillet
STEP 9
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes
STEP 10
Serve over hot pasta or white rice and garnish with fresh basil, if desired and we pass on table
